Reclaimed Wood Table Bench and Chairs
This table is 60" long x 30" wide and 30" tall. It is made of 100% reclaimed wood. It has a bench that fits nicely under the table and 2 matching chairs for the other side. It is very solid and primitive looking! One of my favorite tables I have made. It can be used indoors for a dining table or outdoors for a patio table. I love the look of this type of furniture! When I look at China made tables vrs this table...I want to stop the production of press board! Press board furniture is low quality and will not last. If a leg or something brakes on press board furniture, you just throw it away. You can easily replace a board or leg on my table if you can even brake it at all. My table can be sanded down, painted, stained a different color, redone how ever the owner wants it to look at any time, with only a few hours of work. I takes a lot of work to make a table like this or other reclaimed wood furniture. You have to find enough similar wood to build it complete, pull out all the nails and screws, cut off any rotton ends, sand it enough to get all the dirt and mold off, but not so much that it takes away the weathered look, get the most from the wood by laying it out so you don't waist longer or wider pieces of wood, plane down slightly worped boards or ends of the boards, stain it several times to bring out the character of the wood and protect it (about one coat per day, so if you need 6 coats of varathane, you need about 6 days of staining). Making sure not to have any stain drip, assemble it so it is square and level, counter sink screw holes and drill pilot holes so the wood does not crack and screws don't stick out, make sure the table/chairs/bench are even and it does not wobble. feewwwwww. Then you can use it or sell it.
